Drew Holcomb Bend Concert reviews
Black Crowes: Rock & Soul at its finest!
"Playing a hometown show is nothing like one of your favorite bands...and loving it. And to get living legend Levon Helm, former member of The Band and Rock Hall Inductee, as the opening act invited the opp to see the Crowes jam with him and his band. Levon's set was closed by Chris & Rich Robinson playing The Band classic The Weight. Lead vocals are traded off, even though Levon Helm had laryngitis that night so couldn't sing. Attendees who wanted to hear their biggest hits were probably left disappointed as the setlist was missing a lot of their biggest 'hits' like Twice as Hard, She Talk to Angels, Remedy and their most recent Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution. Definitely a fan show with a focus on Southern Harmony... and Amorica (my 2 favorite albums) and their latest Warpaint. Below is the BC setlist and the source of each song. It was another amazing Freak & Roll show from The Drew Holcomb Crowes!! Plus - after the show, we got to meet Drummer Steve Gorman, Bassist Sven Pipien and guitarist Luther Dickinson. What a night!"
